welcome guys, today we are going to review a brand new phone from OPPO. It is none other than OPPO K1. This phone comes with an in display fingerprint sensor and an AMOLED panel at Rs.30,000 in Nepal. So the proposition is quite nice but let’s take a look at everything else the phone has to offer at this price. Hence we will list out OPPO K1 price in Nepal, its availability, full specification, and features.
OPPO K1 has a Medline glass design. The phone design is very similar to OPPO F9. Coming to the back of it, at the top you can see there is a dual camera setup. It also has dual led flash and has been given a good an outline but the frame of the phone itself is fully plastic. it’s not metal and we will take a look at other factors as well.
Firstly, it has a micro USB port at the bottom. Which compared to many phones like the recent Galaxy m20 is an old generation port. you get speakers beside the port and primary microphone and headphone jack on the other side and at the top, you get the secondary microphone for noise cancellation. Secondly, on the left, you get a triple slot tray that allows you to expand the storage and add two SIM cards. Just below them is the volume rockers split into two have a very good tactile feedback. Similarly, the power button is placed on the right. whereas, the earpiece is put up top above the notch between the display and the phone body.
The phone has in display fingerprint sensor. so as soon as you set up the fingerprint. it will ask you to enroll face as well so both of them work in conjunction. Hence, it is able to give a better unlock experience. Although, I’m pretty sure that it won’t be a very good one. Because this one does not come with an IR scanner like the Vivo V11 Pro. So, it may not be very secured Although, OPPO has given this option. However, it won’t work with closed eyes which may subside your fears a little. so This in display fingerprint scanner is not very fast. obviously, compared to the regular fingerprint scanners you get at the back side of the phones. But for an in display fingerprint scanner, it’s not bad. It’s working pretty nice and it is quite consistent.
let’s take a look at its full specifications. Coming to The display, first of all, it has a 6.4-inch screen size. This is quite handy gives and you a great screen to body ratio. thanks to the water drop style notch at the top of it. Similarly, we are going to take a look at its 25-megapixel front camera. The AMOLED display is quite nice you’ll see the brightness levels are so amazing. On OPPO K1 you will never trouble to view the display in harsh sunlight conditions.
Furthermore, this will also give it a much better battery life. I mean AMOLED displays are very battery efficient. They give you much better brightness levels at lower power so you’re gonna save some battery life as well. let’s take a look at the quality. Now although Super AMOLED panels are not bad in quality. They tend to slightly oversaturate colors The notch is not well optimized. Because sometimes it covers some parts of the video. Talking about the color production I’m quite surprised it’s not a very oversaturated.
Now, let’s talk about the interface. OPPO K1 runs on color OS that is built on the Android 8.1 Oreo. which is not the latest one of course and could be a deal-breaker for many of you. But, it has the last security patch of December 5. The interface as you must be knowing already has a lot of third-party apps and features. This skin is heavily customized you get apps from Oppo itself and there are some third-party apps as well. On OPPO K1 there is a dedicated browser as well apart from Google Chrome and other chrome applications.
let’s check out the cameras of OPPO K1. Now, if you talk about the front camera it is a 25-megapixel sensor with an F/2.0 aperture. K1 has Dual Camera setup Dual 16 MP, f/1.7, 1/2.8″, 1.12µm, PDAF 2 MP, f/2.4, depth sensor at the back. For the front camera, OPPO K1 really gives the priority to the face and oversaturates the photo. you’ll see the face comes out to be pretty nice and so does the details of the background. Furthermore, the front camera can also record 1080p videos. On the other hand, it has a portrait mode as well. since it comes with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Furthermore, there are many other modes as well that you would find in most of the smartphones these days.
Firstly, you can see a case which looks really cool. Furthermore, we can see10 watt adapter bundled inside the box. However, it’s not a fast charger of course but, it is faster than regular 5-watt adapters. Similarly, much slower than 15 or 20-watt adapters. We came to know that this phone is bundled with earphones. which in fact look like what you get with iPhones. However, the build quality is nice. You get an inline remote control with a single button and a microphone for taking calls. lastly, the phone is packed with the cable that is not very good in length but good in quality. since of course the phone has a micro USB port which is quite a bummer. So these are the box contents let’s be let’s keep them aside and take a look at this smartphone now.
The Oppo K1 has been launched in two different variants in India. This is sure that OPPO K1 will be live in Nepal on the first week of March. Coming to the price of OPPO K1, The base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage is priced at Rs 27,000 approximately. While the top variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB Storage is priced Rs 30,000 approximately. Currently, buyers can choose between Van Gogh Blue and Mocha Red color variants.
so my first impression about the phone is like of a mixed bag. It looks good but it has a plastic frame instead of metallic. Although, it’s not already big depart from the real meat to pro. since the hardware is also very similar like you get a Snapdragon 660 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. on the base variant the performing hardware that is the crux. While the top variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB of Storage.
Similarly, the core of the phone is similar to the real me 2. Though that is of course, very much cheaper than OPPO K1. what you get on this is in display fingerprint scanner and a very bright and vivid AMOLED panel. This will really enhance the experience to a certain extent. But still, there are some things I feel missing on the k1. like a typical USB type- c port availability to have the fast charging. It has a Non-removable Li-Ion 3600 mAh battery. Furthermore, the fact that they could have been metal built on this device at this price.
